VA Annual Renewal and Validation Process
You may have recently received a communication—either by email or mail—from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) regarding the Annual Renewal and Validation requirements (see sample below). After further clarification with the VA, we have been informed that all VA-approved agents must now be registered in the VA’s new PPM system. This includes completing an annual renewal/reverification process every year moving forward.
Whether you’re a new VA Agent, renewing, or seeking VA approval for the first time, once you have been issued a VA ID number, you’ll be required to review and verify your information annually within the PPM system to ensure accuracy.
As part of this process, Partners must:
• Designate at least one VA Relationship Manager (VARM)
• Register the VARM account
• Complete company details and contact information
• Confirm or complete your lender’s sponsor information
This process must be completed no later than April 29, 2025.
Please note, this is separate from GMFS’ internal VA Agent Lender renewal process, where we manage approval and payment of renewal fees on behalf of our VA Partners. We have already begun renewing VA Agents on your behalf and will continue to do so.
To begin, visit the PPM login/registration portal here: https://lgy.va.gov/lgyhub/

You may also want to review the VA PPM Guide which walks you through:
• PPM registration
• Setting up your VARM
• Completing the lender renewal process
Important Note:
1. To begin registration, you’ll need a PIN number, which was provided in the original letter from the VA (sent in December). That PIN expired after 90 days, so you will need to request a new one via VA’s “Service Now System”: Request a new PIN here
2. Click the middle box “Sign in or register with ID.me” and follow the prompts to complete your registration.
3. Once you receive confirmation from the VA that your renewal has been accepted, please forward a copy of your confirmation to [email protected].
4. Clients will need their company’s Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) number in order to start the VARM registration. If a client does not have one, they can register or renew it at https://sam.gov/. UEI registration can take a few days to complete.
Thank you for your continued partnership and commitment to serving our Veterans.
