About Tee Brown

Tee Brown is the President of GMFS, LLC, a residential and wholesale mortgage founded in 1999. GMFS has over 200 employees with 15 branches in six states and has served more than 150,000 customers resulting in over $30 billion in funding.

Over the last 26 years, Tee Brown has fostered a culture of philanthropy at GMFS where he is dedicated to finding opportunities to create a difference in our community. The company’s motto, Changing Lives, is a testament to his passion. Tee and GMFS are known for their leadership and generosity especially during difficult times like the 2016 flood, COVID and countless hurricanes where they are actively involved in fundraising and volunteer efforts.

Tee spearheaded the company’s first corporate partnership with Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in 2016 where he currently serves on the Board of Directors and is a founding member of Mary Bird’s “Investor Collective”. This group has contributed over $1 million in donations. GMFS’ own partnership has contributed nearly $200,000 resulting in significant funding for cancer research and patient services.

When other community leaders need help, they know they can call on Tee. Tee has worked with Jenni Peters of Varsity Sports to fund the Believe it Achieve it Program at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Center, he has worked with Mayor Broome on the Resilient Restart EBR Initiative and collaborated with Flynn Foster and the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank to raise over $125,000 during COVID, to name a few examples. Brown is also a proud supporter of: Dreams Come True, Rebuilding Together Baton Rouge, Capital Area Heart Walk and much more.

Tee holds a B.S. in Business Administration (Banking & Finance) from the University of Mississippi and an MBA in Finance from Louisiana State University. Tee resides in Baton Rouge with his wife, where he is a proud father of four with six beautiful grandchildren.

About Tom D’Armond

Tom D’Armond, SVP of Servicing and Marketing and one of the founding members of GMFS Mortgage, brings decades of mortgage industry experience and has been instrumental in shaping the company’s vision, culture, and long-standing commitment to serving borrowers with integrity and excellence.

In his role, Tom oversees servicing and marketing strategies that ensure a seamless borrower experience while driving growth and engagement. His leadership has helped GMFS maintain a reputation for reliability, innovation, and exceptional customer service throughout its history.

Tom earned an MBA in Business Administration from Louisiana State University (1992–1995) and a B.S. in Business Administration from Millsaps College (1986–1990).

Tom resides in Baton Rouge with his wife and is a proud father of three and grandfather of three.

About Will Eglin

Will Eglin, CPA, serves as Chief Financial Officer at GMFS Mortgage, bringing over 26 years of finance and accounting experience to the company. He oversees GMFS’s financial strategy, planning, and reporting, ensuring strong financial health while supporting the company’s growth and operational goals. Will is also focused on community involvement and serves on the board of the Knock Knock Children’s Museum and Red Stick Angel Network.

Will holds a B.S. in Accounting from Louisiana State University and has played a key role in optimizing financial processes, guiding strategic decision-making, and fostering transparency and accountability across the organization.

Wil resides in Baton Rouge with his wife and three wonderful children whom he enjoys spending time with outside of work.

About Hugh Edwards

Hugh Edwards, SVP of Third Party Originations, has been with GMFS Mortgage since the company’s inception and plays an integral role in supporting both clients and team members. He is passionate about helping clients build and grow their businesses through comprehensive training, strategic guidance, and hands-on support. Hugh is known as a trusted resource for navigating complex loan scenarios and delivering practical solutions that drive success.

He earned his degree in Managerial Finance from University of Mississippi, providing a strong foundation for his work in the mortgage industry.

Outside of work, Hugh enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and hunting. He and his wife have two daughters and reside in Birmingham.

About Jeff Weston

Jeff Weston is the Senior Vice President of Retail Strategy & Production at GMFS Mortgage, bringing more than 30 years of mortgage banking and leadership experience to the organization. Jeff leads GMFS’s retail growth strategy across the Gulf South region, overseeing market expansion, production performance, branch development, builder joint-ventures, and pricing strategy while driving the company’s long-term vision for retail excellence.

A seasoned strategist with a people-first leadership style, Jeff manages initiatives that strengthen loan officer development, recruitment, referral-partner engagement, operational efficiency, and capture optimization. His work spans builder JV launches, bank/credit union agent programs, production analytics, new-market expansion, and technology-enabled process improvements—always with a focus on disciplined growth and superior customer experience.

Throughout his three decades in the industry, Jeff has earned a reputation for combining strategic insight with practical, real-world execution. He is passionate about building high-performing teams, maximizing revenue opportunities, enhancing loan officer productivity, and creating scalable frameworks that support GMFS’s mission of “making home happen.”

Outside of work, Jeff is deeply family-centered. He and his wife are the proud parents of three children, and he brings that same sense of commitment, values, and relationship-driven leadership to the GMFS team and its partners.

About Meredith Williams

Meredith Williams serves as Chief Operating Officer at GMFS Mortgage, where she leads the company’s operational strategy and ensures seamless execution across all departments. A CPA by training, Meredith brings extensive experience in finance, accounting, and operational leadership, enabling her to align strategic goals with day-to-day execution.

Since joining GMFS, she has played a key role in optimizing processes, driving innovation, and fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. Her expertise in both finance and operations allows her to approach challenges from multiple perspectives, ensuring the company delivers exceptional results for borrowers, partners, and employees.

Meredith holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Millsaps College and Master’s in Accounting from Millsaps.

Outside of work, Meredith enjoys spending time with her husband and three beautiful children.

About Molly Speed

Molly Speed is Senior Vice President of Secondary at GMFS Mortgage, where she leads the company’s secondary market operations — managing loan sales, capital strategies, pricing, locking, and funding. Based in Baton Rouge, she plays a key role in nurturing strong investor relationships and optimizing GMFS’s funding channels with over 34 years of industry experience. Molly is also active in the GMFS community, participating in company-led causes like the ALS awareness walk organized by her team.

Molly holds an MBA in Finance from the SMU Cox School of Business (1997–2000) and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from The University of Alabama (1987–1990).
