Effective 02/04/2025, GMFS will transfer some of the FHA, VA and USDA it is currently servicing to Carrington Mortgage Services(CMS).

Customer Support:

A good bye letter, including the customers new loan number and contact information for CMS, was mailed out on 01/10/2025 and a welcome letter from Carrington will follow on the week of 02/09/2025. Additionally GMFS will send your customers an email with this information as well, a sample of this email is below.

We are writing to inform you of an upcoming change to the servicing of your mortgage loan. We understand that changes like these can feel uncertain, so we want to assure you that we are here to support you every step of the way.

Starting February 4, 2025, the servicing of your loan will transition from GMFS Mortgage LLC (serviced by Shellpoint) to Carrington Mortgage LLC. You will receive an official letter in the coming week with more details, followed by a welcome letter from Carrington Mortgage Services.

Here are a few key details to keep in mind during this transition:

1. Automatic Payments (ACH): *WARNING* Attention Needed
   • If you currently have automatic payments set up, these will not transfer automatically to Carrington. Once your loan is live in their system, Carrington will provide instructions on how to reestablish ACH payments.
2. Bill Pay Changes:
   • If you use a Bill Pay service, you’ll need to update the payment address to the following:

     Dallas, TX 75266-0586

3. Payment Timing:
   • GMFS will accept payments through February 3, 2025.
   • Your loan will be active in Carrington’s system by February 8, 2025, and they will begin accepting payments at that time.
